Prowl: Easy Push Notifications App Reviews

I use this to get notifications from an IMAP account with where push is not supported. A simple fwd to a provided Prowl email address. Works quickly and beautifully. The UI could be more iOS like but that is not a big deal to me. I could not get by without this app and the service provided with it. 5 stars easy.

By far the best push notification app out there. Works flawlessly. I use it with my alarm and home automation system. Never had an issue. :)

We use this for push notifications with Indigo home monitoring software for security and home automation. My sole suggestion is that when notifications are acknowledged on my iPhone, and I check my iPad, that the notification badge across platforms adjust to show the count of only new alerts. Otherwise perfect.

I found an app called boxcar 2. it does the same thing for free and it has a better interface. I regret paying the money I did for this piece of crap.

I am using Prowl with MyDoorOpener works great get my notifications when a Garage door opens and if stay open for more then time specified

I tried logging in to the app using my phone and it kept saying timed out. I searched all over and found that I am not the only person with this problem. Avoid this app! U will regret spending 3$ on something that doesnt work. I will change this when/if the developers fix the issue.

I use this with WHMCS and it was and still very good, its work fine and fast.

Would be nice if the developer updated the app :-)

App does not do redirect like it is supposed to. Tried emailing their support 3 times over a weeks time with no response! I want money back

I use this with after effects and cinema 4d to get notified when renders are done. Works everyone flawlessly. Has saved heaps of time.

Have been using it for years, just awesome!! Recently found out how to control Growl notification priority with AppleScript making for more flexibility. So happy with Prowl!! Highly recommended!

I use prowls notification system with many of my products and custom in-house alert systems. Highly recommend.

Found this app after the overall demise of "pushmail". Prowl is everything you need for pushmail. If you are looking for a pushmail app, this is the one you want and the only one you need. Its stable and works excellent and the developer responds to bug reports. Do not hesitate to buy this for your pushmail alerting needs.

I not only use it not only for pro active monitoring of servers for my job but I also use it at home with my home automation and burglar alarm system. Keep up the great work and development.

Needs custom sounds and steal badge icons from redirectors. Wish had watch support.

Im using push notifications with my home automation system. This is third app Ive tried and now I can finally stop looking! This is it! Works consistently and was so much easier to get set up.

When you need an alert that can be easily triggered with cURL over the Web this is the ONLY way to go. My home automation system sends me alerts during the day. They arrive in only 3-4 seconds and I can control how my phone responds. The message can be silent, just vibrate, or it can "scream" until I press the home button. My automation system sets the type of alert based on what it is trying to tell me. Fast, versatile, and reliable. Very well designed.
